Solenoid Valve
Overview
Electromechanically operated valve controlled by an electric current through a coil of wire that magnetized. The coil of wire is the solenoid that actuate the valve to control flow of the system. They can be normally open, normally closed or posses a two way configuration. Certain features should be considered before selecting a solenoid valve, with the most important being the valve’s voltage. Other factors that should be considered are: flow capacity, wattage, valve type, pressure rating, and connection type.
